Message From Padma Ratna Tuladhar
With the birth of Lord Buddha at Lumbini in Nepal, it has become one of the most holy pilgrimage place for the Buddhists and spiritual seekers around the world.
Around 2300 years back It was with the efforts of king Asoka that a stone pillar was erected at Lumbini with royal inscriptions engraved over it that it is the birth place of Lord Buddha and King Asoka himself visited Lumbini as an religious pilgrimage tour in his life time . As the gratitude to this divine place where Lord Buddha was born King Asoka also exempted people from paying Tax also.
The teachings and philosophy of Lord Buddha has become the base of my working philosophy. As an Human Right and Peace activist I am always looking forwards to support activities and organizations which has Lord Buddha’s vision of peace and non-violence. After analyzing all the aspects of international sign campaign “Save Stupas Save Buddha” I felt that it has full potential to develop national economic of Asian countries by building tourism sector with promotion of ancient sites Buddhist sites and monuments. But above all it is an peace and cultural movement to bring Asian countries close. Therefore I feel this sign campaign should be promoted and supported.
I will try my level best to provide support to this sign campaign in Nepal. I wish my best wishes to all peoples working for this campaign and trying to bring peace among nations of Asia and world.
I appeal to the world community to join campaign and let’s bring peace and prosperity in our personal lives and in Asia.
Let peace be our dharma.
