Govt. concerned about the Buddhist monuments, vijai : Dainik Jagran

Haryana State Archaeology and Museum , commissioner Vijai Vardhan has said the Govt. of Haryana has issued Rs. 60 lacks for the promotion of the tourism in Haryana and Govt. has great concern for these ancient Buddhist monuments .
A special screening of the documentary film was organized on Tuesday at R.K Sadan at Kurukshetra University about the awareness of the Buddhist sites and monuments in Haryana. It was organized by The Buddhist Forum, Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, KUK and Dainik Jagran.

Vijai Wardhan appreciated the film and said it is duty to preserve the ancient Buddhist monuments because these are the part of our ancient culture so that future generation should know about our past and develop the concern about   these ancient Buddhist stupas also.

Hon. chief guest vice chancellor D.D.S sandhu said awreness about the ancient monuments id essential today , till and until common man understand the importance of the monuments than only these monuments will get due consideration . He congratulates the team of The Buddhist Forum for its efforts for creating the awareness about the Buddhist monuments. He said if Govt. offer support than university also can provide its assistance in preservation process of Kurukshetra University stupa.

The film “Dammachhetra – The Lost Land of Buddha” was highly appreciated by the
the audience. Chairman, Deptt. of Tourism and Hotel Management ,KUK ,   Dr. S.S Boora laid stress on the essential need to re vital Buddhist tourism in Haryana . On this occasion Dr. P.J Philip, Dr. Sunil Dingra , I.C Mittal , Dr. Rajbeer , Ashok Rathi and all the staff members of Department of Tourism and Hotel management kuk were present . Abhishek Sharma , Kirit Rathi , Rakesh Punia , Sumit Jangra , Sunil , Abhishek Ghai , Sumant Sharma  were the student who participated in this  function .
